New OHV Trail System Opens in Lineville, Alabama
A new Off Highway Vehicle Trail System, Doc Hilt Trails, will open Saturday July 18, 2009. Doc Hilt Trails is located near Lineville, Alabama and the Cheaha Trail Riders, Inc, were proud to play a part in seeing this new trail system developed. Mr. Gannon Murphy, one of the Alabama Forest Owners Assoc. members and developer of Doc Hilt Trails, is one of the first AFOA members to develop OHV trails on private forest land in Alabama. CTR promoted the idea to the AFOA back in April at their annual meeting at Cheaha State Park. If there are other private land owners interested in a similar development on your property you may contact Danny Hubbard at
dannyhubbard@cheahatrailriders.com and he will be happy to direct you to the right contacts on how you can begin such a project.
One of our goals, Cheaha Trail Riders, Inc., as advocates for OHV trail system development throughout Alabama and the USA is to see private forest owners construct OHV trail systems on their land so they can: take advantage of the revenue that OHV enthusiasts produce, gives OHV enthusiasts another place to ride and creates a fun atmosphere for both singles and families to enjoy a wonderful time in the outdoors. With Doc Hilt Trails we are beginning to fulfill this goal.
We hope you will visit Doc Hilt Trails and enjoy another opportunity to ride and enjoy the outdoors. You can obtain more information on Doc Hilt Trails by visiting their website at:
