Well, I finally got the brakes done on the front of the 250, it has sat most of the summer and it was due. The interesting thing, I don't think there were more than 6 rides on the brakes so at that rate this little quad will be a pain to keep the brakes on....anyone know if this wear is normal for this little thing?

Also, I wonder if the muck had anything to do with their wear???

There should not be all of that dirt and junk in there....there is a rubber seal that goes on the backer plate that seals the drum....It has to have a good waterproof grease on it to keep water and mud out of the brakes.

1st hand experience told me that bonk

This is the first time these brakes have been apart....and they are VERY SIMPLE. I didn't see anything that looked like it would prevent this.
