Blackhouse is located in Jamestown,TN. Part of it is on Pickett state forest. There is around 150 miles of trails. They range from easy to Extreme. You can come out in Kentucky and have lunch at Chesnut Grove store, some of the best sandwich

Mark, I want to go on this ride for the 23rd, but there are a lot of "maybe's" and "if's".

If the dust is down from a recent or current rain and my doctor doesn't have me scheduled for surgery.

He is wanting to do some whittling on me in the "nether" regions and it will require about 3 weeks of recuperating, and I don't think I could ride the pegs for 40 or 50 miles up there.

Hate to be so "iffy" but I can't control everything . . .

BD, It's just above Jamestown which is almost in Kentucky...I'd say a good 2- 2.5 hours from Chattanooga due to the fact that there isn't a good way to get there...Hwy. 27 towards Dayton then motor on for a long time across I-40 at Crab Orchard, West down I-40 to Crossville, then 127 on up to Jamestown...

Yes, You go through Jamestown (don't blink...) and Pickett State Park is probably another 10-12 miles or so...

From Chattanooga, take Hwy 111 North to Dunlap and pick up Hwy 127 north there straight thru Pikeville, Crossville and on North to Jamestown.

27 north to 68 in spring city to crossville is faster. I've gone both ways.
