PostSubject: Local Points Series...   Sun Oct 25, 2009 10:30 am

I know that atv mud racing around here is not very popular...but if there was a local points series with 90%-100% payout would anyone be interested? A series or 6-10 races with a end of the year payout.

I wanna make it work around here and maybe if we had a points series it would help out the interest. The classes would be as follows...

0-550cc
551-750cc
751-999cc
Open Class if we even had enough

There reason for the CC changes from normal would be to benifit the single cylinders. It can be changed....

To make it a better payout the gate fee to get in would be set by the Pit owner..."It would be very reasonalbe" There would be a $15 per class to race in each race...."We can up that to make the payouts better if the racers want too" To enter the yearly points series it would cost a one time fee of $50 per class per racer....That would go towards the end of the year payouts. All races will be double elimination. Every racer will start out with 100 points in each class. You will recieve points by how you finish in each heat.

If anyone is interested in racing and having a points series like that...please vote yes or no and post your interest in this thread. If there is enough interest....we can go more into detail.

Thanks for your help, Bootlegger

Man Mark, I wish we were a little closer to ya'll. I would love to get something going like this. 12 hours is a little far to make more than a couple races. MUDTECHinc will help out in any way possible though, just let me know what I can do to help.

as you know i am very interested i would much rather drive 3-6 hours to kentucky tenn georgia area than 9-15 hours to go to the east coast or down south. if you or someone can make something like this happen i would love to get back into racing next year but driving for the east coast and down south with a newborn and me and the wife having another child is just to far for me.

Mark to me its not the racing that I don't like, I would love to try it...but its the money involved in getting the 4wheeler setup and for part breakage that I couldn't handle...Now if I was working it might be a different story.

I have to agree with you on that. The cost of it does suck. Just do a little at a time....that is what I did. Just in the last 3 months have I got mine completely ready. For me its the cost of traveling all over that hurts. I have only raced a total of 5 times this year. Hopefully next year with the way the CMR is talking most all of the races will be in the East.

let me know what your plans are mark there is not a big crowd around here for the mud bogging we do but there is a big crowd for the nothing but mud mud bogs last two races around here that i went to had 60+ bikes most of them were 650 and bigger bikes with the rest being the 350-450 hondas. if you get a series going on and people dont mind traveling up here i have a place i could rent and put on the snorkel big bogging like we do and also have a "mud" bog for everyone who wants to enter. maybe we could get people interested in the big series and start snorkeling etc... ive been thinking about putting a bog on here but the cost of me renting out the park is not worth it if only a hand full of bikes show up and i allready know i cannot get any of the down south or east coast teams to travel here.

I am just trying to see if anyone is interested in it around here before I ask Steve. He has a great place and the Pit is NICE. I am just trying to make this work for him and I both. I think if we could get enough interested in it....Steve could profit from it.
