Okay boot, I may call my guy in the morning and see if he will cut me a break on checking it over, it can't be much just something loose or a wire crossed, but ive hunted to my little hearts content and can't find nothing, so it may go to the shop or it may sit in the shed a while tore down. At least i got the lift kit and will install it soon!!!

Alright, got the 2 inch lift kit installed today, makes it look really good!! Mean looking!! Snorkels are completely sealed and ready to remount, STILL don't have this electrical thing figured out. Gonna have to take it to the shop, anybody wanna waste an afternoon trying to figure this out w/ me?? Probaly just load it up saturday an run it to the shop, MY TIRES will be in by then anyway!!!!

unplug all of your plugs and replug them! check your CDI box! mine done the same thing, one of the plugs came undone some how and that was my problem. maybe that will help

What about the CDI box drew, Ive plugged, unplugged, replugged, dielectric greased, wd40'd, plugged, unplugged, and replugged every connection on them, done everything I can think of, except the cdi box, what about it, what needs to be checked?

just make sure that the plugs on it snap.. mine came undone somehow and would not go back on. i had to make the rubber seal in side the female plug thinner so it would snap back on...if you had to unplug your key switch be sure it is plugged in as well.

Got the motor running again. Was the regulator/stator not plugged in very good and arching over the ignition fuse, got it running again, got the snorkels installed but don't like how I did the intake exhause, tried a short cut and it ended up biting me, did find out that the exhaust snorkel and the airbox are water tight, the airbox snorkel is sealed off correctly(thanks Chris for calling me, buddy you da man) all i got to do now is finish the lift and put the tires on and we goin DEEP

didn't get to run it much, my boy was throwin a fit, so I had to come inside, don't have the plastic back on yet and need to rerun the intake snorkels so just ran it long enough to check the aibox snorkel and I checked to see if the exhaust snorkel was watertight, it is!! Im ready to just go ride and check it out.

Don't put the plastic on till you get it tuend right. More air make it run lean....Snorkels is the oppisite way.It will pull harder and make it run rich even if the snorkel is bigger than the factory intake outlet....there is a post made on t MudandDirt.com that i made asking about it and then John Cannon explaining it.

So how do I know what i need to do to tune it, is it running to rich is it running to lean, how do I tell and how do I know the difference, gotta get a new front cowl piece this one is jacked up bad

the snorkel on my BF made it run LEAN and i used 3- 90's.... with 2" all the way..i had to run larger pilot jets because it was only lean from 0- 1/2 throttle... it run good from 1/2 - WOT..the easiest way yo tell with out checkin your plugs is if it pops/backfires, it is lean...if it seems like it sputters or bogs down its rich.....i bought a Dyna jet kit and it was a pain in the @$$ never could get it right. put factory needles and changed the pilot jets that was it.....10$ for two jets compared to 50$ for crap you dont need! jm2cw

Carbs are real touchy to do....especially if you have 2 of them. 1 is easy to mess with. On the Brutes the back cylinder alwasy needs more gas. On the Brutes if you have a Dyantek its very rear and to get it complenty perfect cause the timing is changed so much that it always seems to have a tiny misfire at part throttle. If you have never messed with the carbs and you get a jet kit and follow the instructions most of the time its right on or close. If you ever go to messing with it and get it outta whack....its easier to put it back to factory and start all over. A Dyno is the easiest way to tune one. There is also and exhaust meter you cna hold over the tail pipe ait will tell you how rich or lean one is. If i'm not mistaken My Yamaha has one...you can ask Big Gun for sure.

Here is a copy of John Cannos reply to help you better unsderstand the Air Flow and snorkeling process. I ask the question did more air make it lean or Rich?

John's Reply.....
"That is a trick question. The simple answer is it will run lean with more air. The trick answer is that if it is snorkeled the rules change. Even if the snorkel is bigger then the stock air intake inlet the air most of the time does not flow faster and actually restricts the air entering the air box."

hmm it made mine really lean.. from 0 - 1/2 throttle...it just depends on to how you have your snorkel run.. the dyna jet didnt work for me.. the adjustable needle wont change your slow circuit(0 - 1/2 throttle) only thing im using out of my dynajet kit is the vaccum springs, i just ordered the 2 jets i needed, that is what i suggest to anybody.
