25
I believe the bighorns run big (25" really meassures 26") There will be no problems fitting them. There will be a weight increase over stock tires.

Yeah, I know they are a heavier tire. I am wanting to keep mine as lot as possible, but everyone says the bighorn is the best all around tire on the market and that is what I am looking for. I am not much of a mudder.

I understand! I WILL be getting bighorns next time. Even running the stock sizes, due the clutch mods. Bootlegger has a step-by-step write up on here. There are other kingquad resourses if you need them, just drop me a line. I also have the tools you need to do the clutch mods. Just let me know if you would like to use them.

Best things for your King..............new air filter first thing!!!, ATVenture Bison bumpers are okay and so are the Kimpex ones, and the VDI ECU with the coop mod, YFZ 450 front shocks if you like to ride aggressively. There is no way I would go back to stock front shocks! These things are great. The VDI will wake your King up and the Coop shim mod will let you have some added bottom end so you don't have to run around in low range all the time. I would suggest an EPI spring (yellow) with 18g weights.

Ollie, you want to get rid of your XTRs?

As far as tires........the Bighorns seem to be the favorite. They will serve you well from a durability standpoint, but they are a little heavy. I myself don't have them, but I am sure one of these days I will have them. MY next set will be XTRs for the Rhino.

Hey Airborne, good to hear from you. I am going to utah in june, thinking Bighorns will be a must for that trip! plus the wife won't need the big XTR's when dhe takes over riding the king. Did your YZF front shocks just bolt up or do you have to mod a lot to get them to fit?

Don't want to speak for Airborne, but I installed the same shocks, you have to grind the sides of the top post on the shock to get them to fit into the tabs on the frame, not much metal but much better than bending the posts.

Personally, I love them. Riding off camber, I rolled my quad a couple different times onto its side because of the factory shocks. Since changing them out no rolls. They also eat up a lot of bumps better than the stockers did.

Front shocks require a very small amount of grinding. Mine were like that when I bought them. Yes, they are that much of an improvement!! I would never go back. I run the rear stockers, but maybe sometime next year I may go with a set of rear Works shocks.

I paid more than I should have for mine because I was still new to the ebay thing. I bought mine from a guy in person. Two months later I saw them sell for 100 bucks less on ebay..........so I felt a little stupid. You will not be disappointed especially once you go somewhere you can really open it up and ride fast. It soaks up the rough stuff in the front, so taking your front end up and over stuff you will not feel that hard shocks when the front wheels come back down.

I hit a lot of small jumps at WR, i tend to land back end first and use the power to let the front down easy. i am running the fronts cranked all the way up. Now for the next ?, how do you like those wcrp arms??? i have a extra set of stock ones to mod but i haven't felt the "twitch" kings are known for.

I only have about 50-75 miles with the new A-arms, but I can say I like them. The only drawback I see is that when you are backing up the change to the camber angle makes it really sqirrely. If you are running forward, the a-arms are great. I got them at a steal, so I feel like they were worth it. I ride 40mph thru the woods with no worries about the front end diving or any of that. With the shocks and the a-arms, I feel like it is a good setup. The only other two things I would think about for the King now would be a stabilizer and rear shocks. Some of us have also discussed trying to retrofit the new PS setup to the older Kings. That is one reason I have held out on the stabilizer. If we can go with the power steering at a reasonable price, then I may add that.

That would be about the right timing for me too. I need some time to install all the extra crap I have bought for the Rhino and also to finish my trailer. Once I am done with all that, I would like to have the steps in place to add the PS.

I am not running the bigger injector (yet). I have one but have not had the time to get it installed since I am over here. I am running a BUB Big Bore pipe. I like it pretty good. It is not loud but still gives it good airflow.

I am not real big on that type of exhaust. It is a little too loud for my taste. I don't like loud, but more of a "throaty" muffler is my style. The BUB and the Yoshi sound best to me.

After hearing the Swamp series, it didn't sound to load. It is if the quite core is out, but with it in it wasn't to bad. I want that deep sound too!
