I have deer hunted there many times but never rode any. It has been 15 years or so since I have been maybe longer.

Some of the guys I ride with locally go there from time to time, I have not been yet. They say it is OK as it is only about a 2hr drive from where we live, but if we could we would choose coal creek or something like it except for the longer drive time. We can go to LBL in one day, that includes driving there, riding and driving back. We can't do that with coal creek or any of the places in east TN.

LBL is an OK place to ride, compared to Brimstone, Coal Creek or Pickett...it's not much..

Alot of sport quads..

You also must call ahead to be sure the trails are even open, they will close them if it has rained too much...

I've been to LBL a couple times and really enjoyed it. Very Happy I wouldn't compare it to Brimstone, Evarts, Windrock, Royal Blue or any other larger atv parks. I think there's like 2,800 acres and somewhere around 100+ miles of trails. I like it because it's about an hour and a half from where I live. There are a lot of different types of trails , some easy , some moderate , and some really challenging with steep inclines and declines affraid I would call before making a trip though, if it's rained alot they will close the park ! Sad You must purchase a permit at the rate of $15.00 for 3 day pass , $30.00 for a month , and $60.00 for a yearly. Permits can be purchased at the visitors center or at the gate by the parking area. I alway's purchase mine at the visitors center because there may not be anyone working the gate at certain times. If any of you guy's are interested in riding LBL just let me know, I'm alway's ready for a good day's ride. wheelie

Turkey Bay is closed right now... due to moisture content of the soil and high lake levels Sad
