This mod is shimming the primary thus giving a lower gear ratio.

The Video Link is further down the page.....

Sorry drew i think it only works on suzukis cvt system, i could only get 1.5mm worth of shims in, i have heard that i could get the full 2.0mm in after these have "settled". It forces the primary open, letting the belt ride lower thus giving a low gear ratio. Boot did this to his 450 i believe? It works, its cheap and its easy to do!

It wont affect your top end too much. And its definately worth the extra power on the low end.

Do the coop45 #2 mod, that will give you back your top end. I have only opened mine all the way once so the top end i am not concered about. I love the low to mid range power.

I agree ollie I have hit the rev limiter one time in two years. So i dont think the #2 mod is necessary for me to do.

I am letting Coop45 do this mod. In fact he has my Clutch Plates as we speak or should I say UPS as then hostage somewhere between here and Utah. Will know in about a week how this mod will act on my KQ750.

Okay I took it out for it's first trail ride since this Mod #3 was done by Coop45. This is the bomb. The low end grunt is there in High Range. A lot better throttle response with the lighter roller weights and the yellow Secondary Spring. This mod is worth the money he charges for it.
