I am trying to get a non-profit organization started to promote use of trails for atvs, motorcycles and horses in the Bledsoe State Forrest. The local forrester is interested and a local public group can get it rolling. Bledsoe State Forrest is over 6000 acres managed by the Tn Depart of Forrestry which is part of Department of Agriculture. Also working with local horsing riding group to get them on board as well. No reason both groups can't share trails and areas. This forest like Prentice Cooper is a "Multi Use Forest" that is supposed to support camping and hunting and trails.

If you are interested send me a PM. think

Bledsoe State Forrest, is located about 9 miles NW of Pikeville on hwy 30W, about 30 minute drive from Crossville down hwy 101.

This link will take you to forrest web page http://www.stateparks.com/bledsoe.html

This is great. I would love to see more of this from all state parks. I think it gives another option to expose people to the outdoors.

I'm in as well. Know it would be a good drive for me , but anything we all can do to help our sport along.

Well it wouldn't be as far as coming to Crossville, then on North to Pickett. For you it would most likely be easiest to come over from Manchester way to Spenser and then up Hwy 30.

Finally meeting with Regional Forrestor! It started porrly seems to be against ATVs want biking and hiking trails but as we talked more about a Non Profit to support the Forrest with a focus on trials for use by bikes, horses and ATVs he opened up more and agreed to take it to upper mgmt in nashville.

If they concur I will set up some organizational meetings to kick of establishment of non-profit. The really good news is local forrestor is very interested

Thanks for the update Steve. Is there any particular reason that the Regional Forester might be against ATVs? Is this the same Regional that is in charge of Pickett and Prentice Cooper?
