 diff seals

wondering how to fix or what would cause them to go out so fast just replaced them and 2 rides later my diff is leaking oil out, throught the axle side where the diff locker is at. same place it was leaking terribly before i changed the seals...

I was told the shaft could get wear on it and cause it....but crap....I don't know....I know how you feel. My new front are fine....my rear out put 15 miles and leaking... rant I think something was not right when installed.

Any shaft as new as both of your wheelers should not be wore enough that the seal won't seal. I would say it's either a faulty seal or faulty workmanship putting them in.

It takes 100s of hours of really abrasive wear to put enough wear on a shaft to cause a leak because of that. If the wheeler was NEVER cleaned, it would happen alot quicker, but I think we can rule that out.

i know on my 650 the seal on the front drive shaft where it goes into the dif started leaking and come to find out the shaft was worn from mud and sand it was worn anywhere between .010-.040 thousandths, thats is what caused my to leak...jm2c
