 Fuel filter or lack of ?

I was told that there is no fuel filter in my KQ's
What ?
How can that be seems really wrong as they are fuel injected.
Now im thinking about figuring out a way to pre filter fuel.

put a inline filter comin right out of the gas tank, that is pretty messed up that they do not put one there!!!

If you do that...it will mess the pressure up on the EFI sensors...or atleast that is what I read.

Yeah thats waht i read to.
This is crap.
I guess i need a filter in the opening of the tank, one of those sock filters .
I hate dirty injectors , i really hate that.

Got one on my Popo and its E.F.I but maybe thats why its slow it cant get enough gas co co

No way im either buying a sock filter to insert into the tank or one of those mister funnels.

My bucket truck has a 360 Fuel injected moter , and we got some crud in the tank.
Now im serious about this , we removed the tank and boiled it out .
Replaced most of the lines , it has about 5.
Put a new pump in and it kept giving problems .
Just befor pulling all the injectors i ran it low on fuel and poured in enough cleaner to treat 50 gallons.
Then i had it nice and hot and idled it way up.
It poured this nasty chemical smell out which sunsided when i added clean 91 octane.
after a week its never hiccuped again but that problem had lasted nearly a year.
Never got so bad it was undrivable but the pedal would just drop out from under you foot bout twice a month.
Made driving it nerve racking .

The kings fuel filter is in the tank on the end of the pump.

Back to that nasty problem , yeah the filkter is in the tank so you pull it out its about the size of a postage stamp, then , look over at nyroc and replave with a big fat car fuel filter , SWEET. No more problems and i did get sock filters to. Cleaned one out after 10 tanks had a teasopn of sand init

do the gas tank vent mod, and with the sock filter you should be good to go!

ollie i did that u mised it
Telll me more about the vent mod all i didi was run the vent lines up and put a air filter on it
and i took out that stupid white tube at the neck of the task fill

Thats the mod, running the gas tank vent line up to the pod area and put a filter on it.
