| Here is a link to a great place to stay @ Royal Blue. If anyone gets a chance to check this place out i would recommend it to anyone. It's very clean and nice. It's the best place it the state to stay & ride IMO. Ride Royal Blue_________________ Riding Shotgun with PWM... Cumberland ATV Riders

| The state will hit you hard since you don't live in Tennessee. I thinks its about $30.00 per day for people who live out of state. The state will hammer you any way they can. You can get your permits there. Its a very nice place. _________________ Riding Shotgun with PWM... Cumberland ATV Riders |

| If you go to Royal Blue you won't be disappointed , the permits are $ 30.50 per day for out of state and 12.50 per day in state residents and the money you pay is matched 100% by the federal government and put back into the trails |

I travel from Ohio $200 in fuel, another $300 in lodging, 100 in food, $186 in a out of state permit, man dont get me wrong but wow that is pretty close to a grand for 3 days,so if I pitch tent leave my g/f home(lol),eat cold cuts, wash in the creek, guide myself.I'm still gonna be scratchin my head about $30.50 aday. |

Just send Huntsman a PM and let him know when your coming and we can find someone in the club to guide you.....they will more than happy to. Go to The ATV club & sites links and go to the Royal Blue Rangers Forum and sign up and you can get alot more info about the place. Better yet her i the link. http://www.royalbluerangers.com/forum/I Promise it will be the best Money you will ever spend to ride somewhere. If you plan on rideing there alot you can get a yearly permit.....buy i can't remember the Cost. _________________ Riding Shotgun with PWM... Cumberland ATV Riders |

| If you are riding there a couple of time, a yearly permit would be cheaper. _________________ 2010 Ranger XP 800 PP Windshield F&B, EMP EXT Bumper, Warn 40XT, Kobalt Box, Backwoods Armor 2" Lift/Arched Forward A-Arms, ProArmor Doors, DJ Fab Heat Shield, KFI Front Hitch, UTV Tech Mud Guard & Grill Insert, Crow 4-point Harness, Hi Lift Jack, 27" Horns, SS108's, Garmin 76csx, IPOD 80GB w/Otter Box, ATV Trail Tunes Sounds, Dual Battery Setup, 2-way Radio, PWM Built Spare Tire/Gas Carrier, Diamond Back Top & Floor Mats, HID's, FlexSteel SeatsPWM's Pix |

| It seems to me that if the state was wanting to bring in a little more revenue in this department they would drop the cost of the permit and make it a little more managable for the out of staters. Royal Blue is a very nice place to ride and as a matter of fact it has been over a year since I have been out there and I am begining to have withdrawls. I think I will go soon! |

| There are Maps available from TWRA but they don't even show 1/2 of what is up at Royal Blue. There Maps are over 2 years old. That is why we use our GPS's up there. Unlike Pickett and Brimstone it is real easy to get lost up there. |

| Orange surveyors tape. Tie one on the left side if you make a left turn etc. Can always follow them back out. Poor mans GPS. Actually learn the trails better that way without relying on a GPS. Make them small so they don't get pulled off by other riders.
At RB if you ride the numbered trails, even the ones not on the map, they will take you to the ones that are on it eventually. 19,20,21 and 22 are numbered but not on the map. Just ride them you won't stay lost for long.
Go to the Royal Blue Ranger board and let them know you are coming. Someone might be available to help show you around. |
