An elderly gentleman drives his camper, a converted long schoolbus, to the flame and camps there during deer season. He uses the flame to cook on. If I were staying at RideRoyalBlue, I would trailer to Turley and ATV over the mountain. Also, a 2wd pickup can also travel over the mountain to the flame.

On Sundquist, the best rock formations are on 14 - Lost Ridge Trail. Actually, that is prpbably to best formations in the entire WMA. You can also hike to Meadow Creek Falls from that trail. The trails on Sundquist are all easy-moderate. The TWRA keeps the technical groomed out.

Pickett has the best rock formations I have ever seen in TN. You may want to put Pickett on your agenda.

The most technical trails in that area are on private property. See my Google Earth Map. Starting at the Ollis Creek parking lot, take the unsigned red trails to Eagle Bluff OL and back.

There are some rock cliffs at the sand mines. Also a good climb going up the dragons back on the way to the sand mines. And if you are wanting a real thrill try the trail on the back side. affraid

This climber friend tells me to go to brimstone for the high quality rock.
He made it sound like i could get there from where i am staying .
Sounds like i got alot of exploring to do .
I was hoping to do all my riding from the cabin .
Is that not so good?
And are the maps any help ?

I found out today some of the best rock climbers around the south have located extremly good quality sand stone boulders and lots of umm.
But some of the guys are keeping it on the low down, in other words they wont tell me where to look.
I hope to find them.
Google earth might actually show some of the rock .
Im looking and wishing i was up there today.

Royal Blue is a large area. Kinda hard to explain how to get to some things.
Dan's map would be your best bet.
