Me and Kim have rented a cabin near Brimstone and are wondering what trails would be good.
Deffinatly want something technical.
Looking on the map seems like a relativly smaller area , especially against Pickett.
So if yall have suggestions as to trails to do and things to see please chime in.
We will be there next thursday night through sunday.
Might ...
Yes , vacation time.

There is a small waterfall on trail 10 if we have some rain. Two Overlooks back on Trail 43/44. Get the map at the Permit Office.

I heard there was a bad area up Trail 89 that was rocky as all get out....I didn't take the group up there in April because of that information. It might be okay with just a few riders....

I like rocks as long as its not 4 miles, or more, of creek bed.
We get alot of that around here .
Bumpy city.
By the way all of PC is open at the brief moment , i suggest the last trail u come to off Haley road on the left , that fun stuff for PC.
And then the semi private loop on the way out .
But the mother of all rides is going out haley crossing the valley and on into The cove ,
Very nice.

I heard they have re-worked 89... did a bit of re-routing past the dropoff into the mudhole... that was a bugger going up the bank out of the water...

Dan they have. You will like the trails there Darkstar. The trailsl are more techincal. We rode PC on Sunday. Its was nice to see all of it open. There is a nice trail from Insurance Bluff heading back north. The trails are still smooth and easy but it doea make for a fun and fast paced ride. The water breaks are nice with alittle speed. Very Happy

hey I have to agree we came up from fla and by far it was the best riding we have done so far. We rode alot of the red trails but in 3 days there was so much more to ride we intend to make the trip back possibly next yearas we will be riding windrock labor day. I can tell you this tenn has some of the best riding along with ky. be safe and hope to see ou on the trails.

My wife is now absolutly terrified and she asked me not to ruin the trip taking her down stuff that is similar to the hill at the end of trail number 12 at WR.
I made the mistake of telling her what was said here.
So i think we will be fine as long as i ride her ride through hard sections but perhaps yall can reccomend which trails have the hard stuff at the begining that way we dont ride 8 bumpy miles or some long distance to a section she wont cross .
Or just reccomend a couple scenic slightly tecky trails .
She doesent give her self enough credit but anyhow im gonna have to keep the ride more tame or she wont be happy ... rabbit

Well she got scared at Wind rock, what happened is she was going pretty fast on my 750 and it did not have a sterring stabizer on it .
She is used to her 450 that has a stablizer , so anyhow she clipped a stump and it remed the KQ sterring to the right hard and threw her pretty bad and the bike chased her roling toward her.
Then she got up dusted off and we rode trail 9 with no problems then trail 12 and that freaking hill at the end scared her so i rode both our bikes which was twice the fun.
Yeah it scared the heck out of me to see my wife get thrown that hard , i was behind her.
Now both bikes a steering stablizers , we love umm .
So easy to adjust.
I imagine ill have to get her bike through most of the hard bits , double the fun ( :

Stay on the green and blue trails for the first day or so... she'll do good. The red trails are generally just a bit steeper in places. The "Y" designators are there for a good reason... "Y" did I try this? I don't recall any Brimstone trail that compares to the overall toughness of WRs T12.
