How do I get to Pickett from Nashville TN? Is there places to camp? I ride a coal creek a lot but have heard that this place is better, any comments? Is Big South Fork and Pickett the same thing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

No...not the same. I think there is some directions on here....I will look for them. There is no map. You will need to find you a guide for the day to make it worthwhile. Its very nice place. Mine is in the shop cause I broke the plug off in it... bonk When are you going??? If its later on and I have mine back I would be more than happy to lead you all around. Yes...IMO its better than Windrock....its mostly all trails....no gravel riding. You can camp along the parking area.

Yes....you can ride at night as well. Let me know a week or so ahead of time. I will be racing September 26th....other than that I would be happy to show you all around. I know I will have my ride back by then. The only helmet law is kids under 18....which is the state law....other than that you don't have to wear one. I do....but thats your call. Smile If something happens and I can shoe you all around just make a post on here and I am sure one of the others will be happy to unless they are busy. I think you will really like it there. If you look through the photo & Video section there is alot of pics of Pickett in there.

Thanks, Boot

very nice, I prefer sport quads. I have a trx 450 r, a 400ex which is for sale and a honda foreman 500 4wd. Is pickitt good sport bike riding or should I bring the 4wd? Once again, thanks for your help. I'm new to this blog stuff or whatever it's called but you have been very helpful.

hey man, i went to pickett last weekend. I rode Friday and Saturday and camped It was great. Thanks for your help again. I plan on going back and figuring out the trails more. We rode all weekend and found little as far as caves, rock formations, etc. It was much better than coal creek and was surpisingly easy riding. Had a few break downs but a great ride none the less.

yes, if you go back blackhouse mountian road about 4 miles from blacktop you can take a right and there is a good place to camp about 1/2 mile down on right.
