Has anyone ever rode out on Mt Roosevelt up the the Fire tower overlooking Rockwood on the edge of the plateau in Westel? Or possibly across Buzzards Bluff in roane county? (the two are sorta connected) Smile

I have rode there on ATV but it was when I was a teenie bopper...... hmmm that's been a while. Went a little more recently in a 4x4 Truck to Big Rock and I visit the fire tower occasionally in my POV by highway lol! I love the view from up there.
I am looking forward to riding there with you the 24th!!! The kids are excited..... gonna have a blast!!!

I looking for a map for Mt. Roosevelt trail map. Or at least points of interest. I was thinking of going to the map store, but I want to check other sources first. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Trail map for Mt Roosevelt? scratch Thats funny. roll You can get a map from TWRA of Mt Roosevelt but it won't be big enough to use as a trail map. But then you can go to Maptech.com and order a map in the size you want of the location you want and make your own trail map of Mt Roosevelt. Thats the only suggestion I have. I have ordered from maptech.com before and they do make a pretty good map.

Thats letting my 10 yr old lead the way. Welcome to CATVR Seriously though, the best way to learn Mt Roosevelt is to go with us sometime and ride it. Its not a really long trail though. I would be glad to show you all around out there. Its possible to get to Big Rock (overlooking Craborchard) from where we ride, though I haven't done it yet(afraid i'll get in trouble, heard they were giving out tickets and such) Shocked
