Both Woolys Offroad and Wheelin in the Country have been temporarily closed. Current reports state that the National Resource Conservation Service (feds) have closed Woolys due to erosion issues dealing with the Clean Water Act.

Wooly's was open for the Labor Day weekend and things went really well....I am hoping to get out there this weekend and pay them a visit. With everything that they had to do ($$$$) to get things compliant they did not raise the prices....still $10 to ride.

Specifically, I think they ended up closing 3 trails. On the west side they had to move some trails out of the 60' stream buffer, provide new access trails to get to the hill climbs, and provide stream crossings (culvert crossings) to keep vehicles out of the water. On the east, mainly they built sediment basins to prevent sediment from washing into the streams.

3 Trails were closed....Cream Puff, Beer Run, and Impossible.

I love their trail names....do you know what the name of the trail that is next to Impossible is called???

Next To Impossible....and two of the favorites there are Cow Skull and Will He Make It.
