PostSubject: Just did my first real time GPS tracking on a satellite imagry   Sun Jan 17, 2010 4:15 pm

Never mind the old post , i just did it . Finally i looked at a sat. imagry where i could see my location and all the hills and rivers and trails around me , and i could see my self moving along.

Long story short ,,, its like having 3d maps with imagry and seeing your bike move through the area .
Basically if gives you a 3d moving map of the entire area you are at and you can see where you are and which direction you are moving.
Out west this could be of advantage looking at some of the passes that are not on the maps , but that you see old trails going up.
if it looks doable it proably is ,,, ( out west )
And you would know what town you would be heading toward for the night etc.
i love it but i have a long ways to perfect it .
