UTV News You Can Use
Hatfield-McCoy has made some important rule changes regarding side-by-side machines. They are now allowing these machines on all Easiest, More Difficult, and now on select Most Difficult trails! The field crew will be working through the next couple of months to get signage changed on these newly approved black trails.
As a reminder, for anyone that has a side by side and just wants to ride everything, Little Coal River has allowed side by sides on all trails for nearly a year now. In regard to rule changes concerning UTV's, H.M.T. has simplified their rules regarding age and size of the operators and passengers to be those set by the machines manufacturers. For a full list of rules and regulations for UTV's check out this link.
I got this in an official email from Hatfield McCoy folks.

thats awesome, i've always wanted to ride there but didn't like the fact that I was limited to certain trails, might have to plan a trip there now.

There are no difficult trails at Hatfield unless you go off the marked stuff .
Well maybe one or 2 green plus trails haha.
A trail marked black at HM is marked green at Brimstone . Trust me on this .
The scenerly at HM is great but dont go there expecting a challenge unless you ride out of the main systems.
Also look out for Giant coal trucks blasting everywhere the amount of MTR mountain top removal ,,,, is almost a bit to much to handle .
If you are looking for awesome, challenging, trails stay in Tennessee , Kentucky and Alabama .Puls i dont know of a single trail down here closed to SxS's .
Im not trying to sound negative but folks we got it good right here in TENNESSEE .For me if all i could ride were Hatfield McCoy trails i would not ride .Its good for a change of pace but just done expect challenging stuff .
Miles and miles of prentice cooper type riding . Way way more and deffinatly better but thats kinda what its like .
Great for families and riders of all abilities Dont miss the tree house either , its one of the nicest cabins ive seen period.
