I am correct that you only have to repack it if you go deep?

I think it's just how often (or how many times) it gets wet in there and dries out...it must loosen up the packing and the exhaust blows it out...mine still sounds fine, I liked the sound from the old cores better than the new one, but I lost my old one on a night ride up T22 last Fall...Drew found the end cap but the core was gone forever...

Note: Don't ever mess with the 3 bolts in the end of the muffler when its hot...you'll lose your end cap too...HeHe (Wait until it cools off.)

Im going for the swamp series this was a mistake

From what I have heard You wont have near the HP with the Swamp versus the Utility..

Do you have a Quiet core for it?

Your Right Chris the Utility flows a LOT better and will give you more power...but on the KQ"s they are VERY loud. The Swamp Series XL flows just as good at the utiltiy.....but the regular SS will not give you as much as the XL or Utility. Atleast that is what Randy and all the guys who tune them said, they talked me outta of the regular one....but like Justin said, on HMF's site they say you have more gain...but then again they are trying to sale it to you...LOL. The SS XL does not got all the chambers of the regular SS which makes it flow better which means more power. I loved my Regular SS I had on my Brute....it was nice. I am going to get a Yoshi or Big Gun for mine at the end of this season. I like the Utility....but its way too LOUD for me. I wanted a SS XL but Matt couldn't get one for some reason. So I got this one...and I could tell a HUGE amount of difference on the KQ with it.

Let it go...I have thought about it alot, and I ride to do chores around the farm. I think it would be a bad idea to be load around the cows....Thanks
