Well I got home last night and this was in the bed. Got the winch installed today and got the Kobalt in place just have to bolt it down. Waiting on top, windshield, and harness. All should be here by weeks end.

UHMW....It makes a great Skid for a SXS...they are heavier than a Wheeler, the UHMW will allow them to slide over the Rocks alot easier. I have a set on my RZR so far they have held up Great....Time will tell the rest of the Story!

the UHMW is TUFF!!!! Have seen it used for several years now on manufacturing equipment in lue of metal. Stainless will wear before the UHMW peices will. If you can find the Green UHMW, which is the recycled kind, that is even stronger.

No worries BD....The UHMW on my RZR is 3/8" thick, you can get it up 1/2" for skids, the thickest AL I have seen is 3/16". Al does not have much memory in the molicules, UHMW on the other hand has a very good molecular Memory....All this means is that when you hit AL on a Rock it will dent. The UHMW will give and go back to its orginal shape.

Big G is correct, I have been selling UHMW into factories for years now, it has taken the place of AL in many areas....

Both are Great products and either will serve you well, pick what you are Comfortable with and Lets Ride!!! Wheeler

oh...BTW yes I do Have Metal A-arm guards, When I bought them no one was making an A-Arm Guard out of UHMW, if they Had thats what would be on it now.....not these Rattling Metal ones... Mad
