Im not a paid spokesman for everytrail, but id like to ride more of you guys exact rides , so hit it up . It is so easy to track a trail .
Of course if its a secret trail , dont bother .However it would have to be a major trail to stand out in their massive data base .
Anyone of us can do a ride and then tell another one of us fellow riders about it, with pictures and data .

I like the way the photos seemlessly work in ,with the maps .
And its compatable with google earth .
And you can tranfer the file as GPX right to your gps device . Thats cool .
It might even be compatable with Dan !!!!!!!!
salute Does it get your aproval stamp or not Dan ??????
I dunno ,,,, foot in mouth bonk Lets Ride Lets Ride Lets Ride

Dan is with out any doubt, the master of all ATV maping in the southeastern United States . As far as i know at least .

    Major props ...
Has anyone done it better ?
Im pretty sure everyone knows he has taken it to a whole new level here in our region.
On top of his serious work mapping and compiling data he can out ride 99.9 percent of us .
I know im off on a tangent here , but Dan is also preserving history with his hard work . I ,for one, want to ride the old trails , i dont want TWRA changing them any more.
At least i would like to know where they used to be.
Using Dans maps and our new data, new trails ,,, that he typically compiles /keeps record of ,i hear . Well, you can see some of the old , true , trails mixed in with the new ones . So history is being made , we can keep old trail alive and intergrate the new ones , I love that aspect.
We can do new stuff and put it out there for people to try out , if its okd and legal .

Just another tool in the bin box i recon. Robber
If you got yer phone now , you can map a route more or less.

The gpx tracks should be compatable with user memory... and in the same area, should overlay my maps, both GPS and GE.

EveryTrail: Building the Travel Guide of the Future

Thanks for recently joining EveryTrail! With almost 150,000 members and 300,000 trips from all over the world EveryTrail is creating exciting new ways to plan, track and share travel experiences. We are working hard to make EveryTrail Guides, Destinations, and Trips into the word's best and most comprehensive Travel Tools & Guides. Below follow a number of exciting updates that bring us closer to this goal, including a request for participation for EveryTrail Guides, so read on.

Topo Maps and Offline Maps in EveryTrail iPhone App

Probably the two most requested features for the EveryTrail iPhone app are topo / terrain maps and offline maps. Today we are glad to announce both! We have submitted a new upgrade to Apple with these features, and we expect it to be available in the app store soon.

With downloadable maps, the EveryTrail App becomes even more useful than it already was: Once you have downloaded maps for a certain area to your iPhone (for example using your WiFi connection at home) the EveryTrail iPhone app is fully functional without any data connectivity. This is a key feature when traveling in the great outdoors where there is no 3G connectivity, as well as when traveling abroad, in order to avoid high roaming charges.

    Here are some details:
    * Topo/terrain maps are provided by CloudMade sourced from OpenStreetMaps. In addition to Topo maps we have added 2 other street map layers from CloudMade.
    * In the PRO version of the EveryTrail App, all 3 CloudMade Map layers can be downloaded to your iPhone. You can do this for any trip, when marking it as a favorite (just follow the instructions) or you can specify any area in the world for which you want to download maps. To do this go to the "More" tab and then to "Download Maps". You will see a page that enables you to select map type(s), specify a region, and specify which zoom levels to download.

If you haven't done so yet, this is a great moment to upgrade to PRO. Get it here or search for EveryTrail PRO in the App Store on your iPhone.

    Improved Look for EveryTrail Guides

After a big upgrade to the look and feel of individual Guide pages last month, the main Guide page now has a new look. Please check it out here! We are adding great new Guides at a rapid clip now, and stay tuned for very exciting news around guides soon.

IMPORTANT: We are busy creating great opportunities for EveryTrail members who want to become Guide writers. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge with the world by creating EveryTrail Guides, please send us an email at team@everytrail.com.
