Marshall University OHV Recreation Management Course Spring Semester
Scholarship Applications due on July 9, 2010

The fall semester OHV Recreation Management course is PLS 450/550: Introduction to Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation. The information in the course can be invaluable for both agency personnel as well as the enthusiasts. The planning of the trail system is a critical component for providing the quality trails that riders want to ride. This course is the first in the series of 4 courses regarding OHV recreation.

This semester’s scholarship is being offered by the Nick J Rahall Appalachian Transportation Institute The scholarship is being administered by the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council. The completed applications are due on July 9th, 2010.

Russ Ehnes, Executive Director of the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVC), stated, “We are pleased to be able to offer this scholarship with the partnership of MIC and SVIA. The courses offered by Marshall University are an invaluable resource to both our rider community as well as the professional land managers. We are committed to furthering education regarding Off-Highway Vehicle recreation management. This scholarship is an excellent way for us to further this goal.”
