PostSubject: East Ky Regional Trail System   Wed Sep 08, 2010 8:10 am

The first leg of this multi-County system will kick off next Spring, as of now 5-6 counties, Harlan Co. is on the list but not came on board yet, Bell County coming on board and soon. It will run all the way from Bell county up E.Ky to Pike County..close to home for our own Lt. Airborne..aka Chris. The big picture is a 2000 mile trail system linked together all over E.Ky..our State Board already has this on a map..but we cannot release it yet until all landowners are on board.
As of right now Bell County, Knott County, and Harlan County (fee to ride in Harlan) are active...I just built them a small kick of web site to get them going in the PR direction... www.ekrts.com

The new state website for KRTA is up

We have the Master Plan...but take note..it is far from finished as more counties are coming on board.
