I've been working on mine for too long. Really want mine right. Hopefully the new head and cylinder checks out to specs, don't want to machine the head deck or cylinder deck with this high comp piston 11:1. Hopefully she'll be right and I can give em a run for their money in 2011.

Mark, Next time you talk to randy ask him What IM looking at to do HC pistons in my outty? Would I be wasting my time and money with a Motor with 2500 miles or Not?

I plan on AMR xx cams also but If I can swing HC pistons while iM in there I plan on it..

Ok, I will...with those miles you might be better off to do an 840...but again, I really don't know.

Yall think Greg will do me right .
Hes so fosused on the STM clutch , basically he said look man i cant buid the outllander without putting in an stm clutch because i cant tune it worth a crap if i dont start with the clutch .
My Gade is now AN 840 WITH EVRYTHING you can work up done to it .
But the Outlander i was thinking sure go 840 and gen 2 cams but i dunno .
Why must it absolutly have a STM clutch .
Ive been studing those thing alot --- the rage 8 .
Im not convinced for one munute its the best all around clutch for hare scrambles .
What say yeeee ?????
Hmmmmm -

Because he sales them...the CV Tech is a lot better from what I had been told. Just make sure if you get it to get the upgrade sliders....IMO for the racing you do...you don't need one....but that is me. IMO those primary's are more for mud & drag racing. Its harder to tune a STM though...atleast that is what I am told again. Chris and I are both around a lot of racers who have BIG motors and its kinda fun on my end to watch them try all the different stuff... Laughing In the end the guy with most wins....I look at his set up and go from there. With his Gen2 cams they are not just drop in's like AMR"s are...there is a lot more work to those cams. Let me know how you like it once you get it back...it will be a monster for sure.

Chris....you can but the 840 kit and put it in yourself. That will save you a lot of money. Just get the easiest cams to put in...and that is AMR's. I would look at getting a kit from Kenneth Miller, AMR, Or Mr.RPM.

Boot man that is exactly what i think - i dont really need umm .
The stock 2010 and 2011 clutch in an outlander is pretty good .
No doubt some good clutch work will improve my Holeshot and man i have got to get a hole shot or two so im pretty well stuck with some clutch work .
greg is , as you know , either one way or no wAy for the most part .
He will do whatever i say but hes most happy just booming in the STM and buidling the heck out of it from there and then a good bit of dyno time .
My deal is OUCH on the money the rage 8 is extremly expensive .
OF course its not about to lose value anytime soon ,, at least IMO.
If you are a good clutch man ,it looks like the varibles are endless .
I hear alot about the Cvtech to and how awesome it is .But you know whos building my engine and he absolutly hates it .But at the same time let him work his majic and you gonna have one bad butt 840.
Id go bigger BTW but supposedly bla bla bla the rules of some of the races done allow it .
Quote from Greg - look man , you are already gonna have to hold off this thing anyhow - oif you just pin it youll run off and leave umm so bad they will tear yer engine down .

Whooaaaaaa .

What to do ????
Im kind of at a conumdrum.

Im kind of at a conumdrum.

You can always just put you a QSC clutch kit in it and get by cheaper. I like the CV Tech's....but the guys who won the most this year had stock clutches with QSC in them. Its up to you...its your dime. Laughing Or in this case a Dollar... Razz

Another note....DON"T let anyone tear you engine down...unless they wanna put up about $2500 cash in hand...then they can look at it. After they pay a builder to tear it down. Its all stock unless you tell them otherwise. They can't tell by just looking at it... Wink lol!
