What gloves do some of you guys and gals use for riding? I'm looking for some good gripping gloves for mudding that don't wear so fast and are at a decent price. Any suggestions?

I wear the mechanic type gloves, sometimes advertised as Nascar gloves, good fit for my short fingers and they are on sale often.

Where could I get some at? Are they good for mudding and gripping stuff like that?

You probably can find some of what sstandefer is talking about at wal-mart( maybe lowes).

I just ride with thor motocross gloves in the summer and warm/waterproof gloves in the winter.

Sometimes if it is real hot i'll go without gloves. Very Happy

I've gone through 3-4 Fox Racing gloves because once they get wet and muddy a few times they start to tear in places and just wear out. I would really like some waterproof gloves.

I've got this type of gloves....the original. They're not water proof, but they wear well and are washable. You can buy these at most auto supply stores and Walmart may have them too. I know Sam's Club carries them too.....

look at these: probably the least expensive out there and the gripper dots sure do work. Kinda like the brown work gloves only these are waterproof and they won't allow your hands to sweat.

Stay away from neoprene gloves, though they are waterproof(till you get a cut in them), your hands will sweat inside them.

I scotchguarded my fox racing gloves seemed to work well. I've had a few different types mx type gloves seem to have better padding for riding. These gloves work great for mud riding http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SG81B4/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00312EBE0&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1XQ0KKDDWF21WW8F95CA

They come in pairs. If you look around ebay and other sites you might find a bag of 12 pair, they have diiferent kinds some thinner some thicker. The thin black ones work great in the summer.

They can be washed, but I just throw them away when they get to bad.

I'm searching for a winter set up - have you guys seen the tusk covers
it's a big pouch that goes over the entire grip of the handle bar
pretty sweet some of the winter race guys use them
supposedly mad dog -I think - makes the best ones
anyhow I need a good set of winter gloves - I'm even thinking of installing some hand wamers to
we had some brutally cold rides last winter
me and SgV went out when the high was 20
2 hours and I was frozen so were my hands
he had the eletric warmers installed so nice
let me know what u guys wear for winter

I have a set that I used with my Arctic Cat and they work great for casual riding. I would not recommend them for racing as they can be a bit tricky to steer with them on.

For my winter gloves i just went to the local motorcyle shop a few years ago and bought some full gauntlet( type gloves that come past the wrists). waterproof and windproof( and warm). Think i paid maybe $30 at the most. But well worth the $$.
