PostSubject: Chattanooga area rides/riders?   Mon Nov 22, 2010 12:11 am

Hey guys, I use to ride a lot on Aetna, PC, Coppinger Cove, Houston Valley, etc but I haven't had an ATV in six years or so.

I live between Whitwell and Jasper, about three miles from the road where we use to go in the Cove but when I drove the car out there not too long, everything looked different so I didn't venture in alone.

Who can give me the scoop on that and the latest on Aetna? I lived there in Tiftonia for awhile but since I moved a few years ago, I don't hear much about it.

Nice, I miss my 400ex but I needed more of a work machine. I've had blasters, warriors, tri-z's and such in the past...

i prefer the sport atv's but can have fun on all of them.

all in how you enjoy it.
and what you do with it.

i need to find a good set of front tires for the fourtrax 300 have some on it now for putting around the yard and the woods out back. but need something good.
and with only being able to work part time makes it a little harder to buy.
so if you see anyone out there with some decent 4x4 fronts for sale let me know iam running trail wolf tires on the back pretty big and fat tire.

i need 23.5x8.00-11 for the fronts or something in that range

the trail wolfs are 23x11x9 i think

If it matters to you, the 300's came with 23's and 24's and are geared for the difference, i'd keep it in mind if you spend any time on pavement or other super hard surfaces...

We use to put the factory rears on the front of those (24x9x11 if memory serves) and 25" buckshots or blackwaters on the rear, they went like crazy! I have access to a few tires at near dealer cost, I'll see what I can come up with. I have a manual tire changer in the garage too....

Me too, got it from my dad I guess. He's been riding Honda's since the first Big Red came to Chattanooga around '83....

sounds like it, i think houston valley is closed til april for trail maintenance.

and pc i dont know what hunts they have going on.

but hunter road powerlines is good. not sure of other places. they have closed a few good places like summit they put a baseball diamond on it.

am seriously considering going in debt for some property and building a pay riding area to pay for it. that way no one can close it down but me.
