PostSubject: Looking for new/used rear storage box    Thu Dec 02, 2010 9:50 pm

I have a Arctic Cat rear storage box and really don't like the way it folds open in the middle. I have been looking at Plano 1510 and Kolplin box. I really don't want anything over 12 inches in height. I you have anything please send me picture.

Thanks

if all else fails you can look into one of these.

http://www.lowes.com/pd_6513-46921-028001L_4294801867_4294937087_?productId=3037055&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_Tool%2BBoxes_4294801867_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr%7C0%7C%7Cp_product_quantity_sold%7C1

Cheaper than a atv specific box and meets your height requirements. I know of several people that use these as atv cargo boxes.

Ive been using this one for years, tons of storage, cheaper than most boxes and handles my abuse greatly. I have mine modified to be more user friendly on the trails and it hold everything I need. It is just north of 12 inches

I remember that one sitting in your garage last year. Little to big for me. How come you have not used it?

I mounted a cooler dead center by drilling holes and then siliconing it all back together, on one side I made a box that fits perfectly for jumper cables, wash towels, extra tools, ETC ETC. On the other side I have a small socket set, my pelican camera and key case and a multi-storage box full of odd and end parts you might need out of the trial. I converted the lid and it holds bungee cords across it and in the cubby holes I have a first aid kit, extra gloves, cargo net, paper towels and TP. It holds ALOT. had it since 06/07 and its seen a lot and taken some abuse. the bungee straps finally gave way last year, so I replaced them with new ones, the only repair Ive needed to do. It is a great box

I have decided to go with the Plano Box. I found one for 108.95 @ https://www.windrockoffroad.com/Catalog/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=20429&idcategory=1292

There are based out of Oakridge, TN and I can picked at there warehouse. No shipping charges.

I have already thought about what I can do to modify to my style. The cubby holes will come in handy.

Thanks

Thanks for the offer, but i think I will get the plano box. It fits my needs a little better.

You should have no problem selling at that price.
