PostSubject: Which size tires?   Mon Dec 06, 2010 11:22 am

I have listed in the poll which size. I'm not much on 12 in wide tires. I wish they made the original Bighorn in 26x10x12's. The 2.0 26's are 11 in the rear and that will ok I guess...lol. Just curious which one's you all would get? I really like the Original BH's in 25 inch cause they are more like 26's in other Brands. Just need a simple opinion....thanks for any help.

yeah...I like the original ones...The 25 I like...just almost too small...lol. Chris...I like 14's...just only in like 29's or bigger...lol. Smaller sizes look goofy IMO...Its like its all wheel and not tire. Razz It will be a long while before I get anything new...I'm Poor! Just web shopping I guess you could say.

Ok...seeing a trend here...lol. No one like the 26 inch original ones either? It is cause they are 12 inch in the rear?

I think I'm leaning towards getting the 26 inch 2.0's when the time comes. I like the size of them the best.

But the 25's have more votes

Mark,

I have 26" in the 2.0 Ride quality is great so far, handles like a regular bighorn but cleans out mud a bit easier( quicker). Mine's are on my stock 12" xt wheels.

Cool...thanks Wyld. How are they wearing?

Chris...I like those. but they weigh more than my Silverbacks do...lol. Maybe on a SXS...just not on the KQ. Laughing I'm just stick with what I know...Bighorns for the trails.

They handle pretty well, Wear is good ( mine look almost new even with a bit of road riding on these). I ride mainly rocks and trails( very little mud) so far these have not let me down. Lightweight too, not that mine wouldn't have a problem with heavier tires, Just a lighter tire ends up not wearing down driveline components as fast as a heavier tire will.

Gentlemen, I have 3200 miles on my 25's BigHorn's Original. No sign of needing replacements either. Never a puncture or a problem.

But I have my eye on PWM's and Jody's PitBulls they are pretty nice tires.

I really like the Pit Bulls...just not for my KQ. I think on a SXS they would be the way to go. The weight on them is very heavy. The 26.5's weight as much as a 29.5x10x12 HL Outlaw. For general trail riding on an ATV they are just too much...but this is only my"opinion". On a SXS....they would be what I would get hands down. If was to put them on my KQ...I would have really do some clutch work to turn them all the time...lol. They are one tough tire from what i'm told. I loved the two sets of 25 inch original Bighorns I had...just kinda want a little bit bigger of a tire and the Bighorns 26's are about right for what I want...and again that is why they make so many different ones...lol. It will be a while before i get anything...just trying to figure out what I want so when the times comes my mind will be made up...maybe... Laughing
