Facebook is the place ain't it. I have been considering taking down my forum and just plan all rides from Facebook. Less hassle and Less problems.

Closing down a forum to use facebook would be one of the worst things you could do to promote the sport of ATVing. I am not on facebook and I don't ever plan to be in the future. Without the forums I would have never been introduced to some of the great places that there is to ride at such as Pickett. Facebook may work out for the more local crowd, but to bring in any riders such as myself from any distance away, the forums can't be beat IMO. I had never even heard of Pickett untill the Spring of this year, and by following the forums, I was able to make it down to a couple of rides there. Since then, I have been able to bring down 5 other riders and also promote the riding in that area to many others. Keep in mind the economic benefits of bringing riders in from further distances such as hotels restaurants, ect. I'll get off of my stump now, but I have met many fine people with alot of valuable information on this and many other forums and I don't want to see them gone. salute Smile Site Rocks

I know Rooster was just joking about shutting down his forum, I agree that the forums are the best way to organize rides, I too have met some great people thru the forums and wouldn't trade it for anything.

But I also was the same way about not being on facebook, but I got on to keep in touch with friends from my home town and family members that I don't get to see much because they live in different places....Facebook does have all kinds of controls of who does and doesn't see your information, you just have to set them up to do what you want....

Anyway Site Rocks and forums are the only way to go to promote trail riding IMO....
