PostSubject: squeal in wheel   Sun Jun 19, 2011 11:55 pm

Had this checked last week, new front pads were put on front right side..rode today and was still making a high-pitched noise. I can't tell if it is the front or rear. Bearings seem fine and noise doesn't happen when going over 20mph. Anyone got any ideas on this? I can't help but think the springs on the breaks have lost their grip or something else simple. Any help is appreciated.

Yes. 04 Rancher, drums all around. If you have any ideas, I'd sure appreciate hearing them.

I'd make sure there real clean, but also you can take some sand paper and break cleaner and clean the inside the drum out real good. Then the little arm that has the wind nut on it where you adjust them. Oil it up real good as well.
