PostSubject: Looking to buy a Can-Am Outlander .Any thoughts?   Sun Jul 10, 2011 8:58 pm

Since I have sold my AC 700 I have been looking at all brands. I really like the Grizzly, but then went and looked at Can-am. I was looking at a 2010 500 XT with power steering.

I found a guy who won a 500 in a contest and is trying to sell for 8000. It is brand new with 4 miles on it.

Any dealers within a 5 hour drive that has great deals?

How does Can-am compare to overall build quality with other brands. Any help would be great.

My Ac like the dealer to much for repairs.

Thanks for the input!

8000 sounds high to me. Purchased mine from Tims Ford powersports in Winchester Tn. They gave me the best price period. Checked all over Al. and none would get close.

Way to high for a 500 IMO,I paid 9 for my 2007 800 outlander when it was new.

Canams are awesome but you must work on them or maintain them. they are not your old honda sitting out in the shed thats never had anything done to it. Mine have over 2500 miles on them and Biggest thing I have issues with is Ujoints. But when You run 30" ++ mud tires all the time and Ride it like its stolen well you come to expect things like that. I change the Ujoints once a year and its good to go. it takes about 3 hours to chanvge all of them but Keep in mind, Igo through the Mudholes while others go around. AS a matter of Fact My canam is at the top of the Forum home page if you would like to see the life it lives.

Buy one. you wont regret it

Thanks for the info. The 8000 sounds real high I got him down to 7000. That includes cash and few guns for trade. He still thinks he can get more on e-bay. He said he would call back if it does not sell.

I have been on a ride a with once or twice and I see how you ride rough. I am sure riding through deep mud does affect maint.

I would second tims ford powersports as well.

Talk to Marty Coe, he's the proprietor/owner and gave me the best deal on mine back in 2008.
