PostSubject: Rzr squeak    Tue Aug 09, 2011 10:06 am

My Rzr has an annoying squeak. I met another Rzr on trail and it had a squeak to. The guy said it was the shock. The squeak are in the same area. I think it's the bushing on the rear sway bar. Has anybody else had this problem. If I disconnect the sway bar will driving it be dangerous or just some minor body roll. I don't plan on riding it far while it's disconnected just enough to see if that's the problem. How hard is it to replace the bushings?

I removed my sway bar and threw it away. You will have some body roll but it will trail ride a lot better.

Have you greased the bushings? The RZR has zerks for that.

My sways are collecting rust somewhere in my garage. It rides much better without them. It also traverses the rock gardens much, much better without them since the suspension is free to fully articulate.

Good. I'm just gon take it off and leave it off. I'm pretty sure that's where it's coming from. Yeah I've greased it. I've greased everything could find with a fitting.

also back off on the shock bolt mounts about a half turn and it will quit, x2 on the sway bar, but it does not handle turns at high speeds very well so becareful
