| We are planning on going to Black House Mountain/Pickett on Oct 21, 2011. Two maybe three families. Anyone have some Garmin gps tracks for the area? We do not have large fourwheel drives. Mainly Honda atvs and Muls. I would prefer the easy trails but would not mind some moderate stuff. Of course not sure the exact difference between easy, moderate and hard. We are fairly new, rather not go bouncing down the side of a mountain.
We have been there once. Went to truman lookout and that area mainly (all that was easy gravel roads). I believe we can handle some more trail stuff. We have done some fourwheeling on our property between Jamestown and Livingston and I thought some of that was hard. Steep and some gullies.
We have Dan's maps. I have a garmin and mapsource. |

| Dans maps has Pickett pretty well covered. Not sure what you are needing additional files for? They would be close to the same as Dans maps. _________________ 2010 Ranger XP 800 PP Windshield F&B, Venom 5k, Kobalt Box, Backwoods Armor 2" Lift/Arched Forward A-Arms, ProArmor Doors, DJ Fab Heat Shield, KFI Front Hitch, UTV Tech Mud Guard & Grill Insert, Crow 4-point Harness, Hi Lift Jack, Pit Bull Rockers, SS108's, Garmin 76csx, IPOD 80GB w/Otter Box, ATV Trail Tunes Sounds, Dual Polaris Battery Setup, RELM 45w 2-way Radio, PWM Built Spare Tire/Gas Carrier, Diamond Back Top & Floor Mats, HID's, FlexSteel SeatsPWM's Pix |

| PWM, OK, I will see if I can load the .kmz file on my Garmin.
Bootlegger, We may not make it as well. Having a hard time finding cabins. Seems like everywhere is booked. Must be some big weekend for some reason. Maybe we will try Sept.
I thought I read somewhere about some lumber company may be cutting now around there. Anyone know if this is true and what area it may affect? |

| Not sure about the lumber but probably. I have not been there in over a year. I am ready for a ride there myself. I have some buddies camping at the trail head labor day weekend. I may try to come down for a day of that. _________________ 2010 Ranger XP 800 PP Windshield F&B, Venom 5k, Kobalt Box, Backwoods Armor 2" Lift/Arched Forward A-Arms, ProArmor Doors, DJ Fab Heat Shield, KFI Front Hitch, UTV Tech Mud Guard & Grill Insert, Crow 4-point Harness, Hi Lift Jack, Pit Bull Rockers, SS108's, Garmin 76csx, IPOD 80GB w/Otter Box, ATV Trail Tunes Sounds, Dual Polaris Battery Setup, RELM 45w 2-way Radio, PWM Built Spare Tire/Gas Carrier, Diamond Back Top & Floor Mats, HID's, FlexSteel SeatsPWM's Pix |

| Thanks Dan, I found some conversion tool that did it. Maybe both together, I may be able to find my way around.
I think I found that the weekend I was wanting (Oct21-23) is some FallCrawl and that is why almost every cabin is booked around atv trails. |

| Just let me know when your coming up if you want me to show you around some. If not, no biggie. I can ride any way you want too. Just trying to help out. IMO, Blackhouse is the best riding around here. I just like it cause its mostly all trails and some beautiful scenery. _________________ Suzuki King Quad 750Bootlegger Performance TunedMSA Nuke Wheels, 27" Interco Reptiles, ODI Grips, Twin Air Filter 3000lb. | Thanks Bootlegger. I will let you know. Any help is always appreciated. I'm kind of a newbie and usually have my 12 year old son with me and do not want to get into a place I may flip us. But I understand anybody can flip anywhere if acting stupid or in a place above their level of skill.

| There are a couple of Old houses up there. One of them is my Great Grandady's house... Its the one close to Dry Hollow Church... You have it marked as Jim Town Farm. I am taking a group up there to camp and ride next month. I had never known about all of the ridding there until someone from work told me about it. I have camped in the cabin but never explored the area. Now I have something to play on I plan on spending more time there. |
