I lost my GPSMAP62, but someone has given me an old Magellen Meridan. Is this thing even worth trying to learn?

The Magellen is not a terrible unit but its hard to find anyone to share tracks with. If I am not mistaken, that is a marine unit.

There appears to have been both marine and land verisons of the Meridan, this one has a land basemap on it. The unit works, so I've ordered a data cable for it. I think it only has 2mb of internal memory, but it does have a SD slot.

I've got an old Meridian. Their function is so-so. But I can tell you one great thing about it....it's is COMPLETELY waterproof and it FLOATS. Cool
