I guess we will just have to sit back and see what happens.

Let me know when and where to send my $100. I will then consider if it will be worth it to me or not. I am not interested in paying my money and riding up there if I pass 10 or 15 others that did not pay or paying my money for Insurance and then the Land Owner still won't let us ride.

I will not Trespass or enter an area that has POSTED Signs.

Yea we all get that Jerry!.......Here is an idea I have been throwing around in my head for a few days. Why don't someone organize a Ride for Labor Day Weekend. Get all the riders together, park at Carl's, go meet him and hear what he has to say. Then let's go ride the proposed area that is being talked about leasing.......Set it up!

If hunting club insurance is cheaper, then call it a hunting club. LOL! If the landowners don't like firearms, limit all hunting to slingshots and spears. LOL!

I planned on riding there anyways for Labor day weekend. I would love the chance to ride with you guys. I have only rode there twice with another group of guys who know it pretty well. This trip I am going by myself. I just bought a new 900XP in June and am chomping at the bit to ride it at Pickett. I have been scared to death that it would close permanently before I had the chance to take it there. I drive all the way from Eaton Ohio to ride there. It is my all time favorite place to ride. I always feel so fortunate to have actually found it.

I would make every effort to make that too...as long as 2-wheel "hunters" are welcome.

Not me, should it not be Carl? since he is the one getting the insurance information. Someone mention on another forum and I thought it should be mentioned here. The estimate of $10,000 for insurance has been discussed. What has not been is the Lease. I heard a figure of $3500 for 3500 acres. I sure would like to see the area in question and how the trail systems plays into the Leased Portion. Sounds like the price just went up to $13,500 per year.

What is there to set up? Everybody agrees to show up Saturday or Sunday morning, tell Carl we are there to see what his lease is going to look like, put him in the passenger seat of a SXS and away we go.

Heck yeah
I leave for Italy the next day but ill show for this ...
Just remember Carl needs time , hes still awaiting a few bids .
As with any lease , it cost more in time than money at the start.

Noon Saturday or Sunday morning would be best for me. I am heading down late friday night and it will end up being at least a 7 hour drive towing a travel trailer and a utility trailer behind the travel trailer. 55 mph speed limit pulling doubles. Will roll into Sunnybrook Sandwich shop middle of the night or early Saturday morning. If I can talk my wife into taking a vacation day Friday (she works second shift Friday night), then I will be there earlier.
I cannot PM, have not met minimum post #.

$100 yearly permit fee is not too unreasonable as long as that is per machine and not per person. Somebody with a 4 seater is not going to want to pay $400 per year.
Maybe some sort of a discount yearly or daily youth permit with full priced paying adult for the once or twice a year I would take my boys riding on the easier trails with their quads.

There are 3-4 forums and people are posting different things on all of them. What I mean by setup is someone organize and plan this get together with Carl and all the other forum members. As far as I know Carl is not on any of these forums. He is doing all the talking over the telephone with several different people calling him and getting bits and pieces of information then they are posting fragments on the 3-4 other forums.

So here you go. Consider it Set Up!
