PostSubject: Royal Blue - Beginners trails to try   Tue Aug 07, 2012 9:19 pm

First time at Royal Blue in October. Is trail 27 rough leaving the camp sites? I have kids on small dirt bikes. Whats a good "easy" ride there for a day? I see alot of green on some maps I see. Also maybe white for gravel? Just asking what's a good ride for some noobies. Using a Mule and a honda Rincon 650, along with a few dirt bikes.

27 most of the time is not bad at all but all trails can change. Let me know closer to when you plan on going and I can help you with a loop.

We are heading that way Oct 19. What would be a nice easy loop to take? Short ride on friday and an all day ride saturday.

Most RB trails are fairly easy although trails can change with weather conditions. Are you staying at RRB?

Yep. At one of those Redneck Retreat cabins. Should be fun. Do they have rentals there?

We are heading that way Oct 19. What would be a nice easy loop to take? Short ride on friday and an all day ride saturday? Maybe with something to see like a waterfall, nice view, etc...

Friday, head up 27, left onto 19, left on 22, right on 20 then backtrack 19 to 27.

Saturday head up 27, right onto 19, left onto 13, right onto 1 just passed the parking lot, take the 2nd (I think) left and the water falls are about 300 feet down the trail. If you go further than that, turn around and continue down T1. After the falls, left on 1, right on 4, left on 6, left on 13 all the way to the end which will bring you out at Meredith Lane at the creek. Go to Stinking Creek Rd and take a right for a black top ride back to RideRoyalBlue.

Sorry I missed your list. Got to bed early and left out early friday morning. We went 27, left onto 19, left onto 24, left onto 37 to waterfall, back down to 35 over to 36, 36 around to 25 and then the Elk Tower and back thru 25 to 24 to 19 to 27 on Saturday. Some of the easy trails seemed to have difficult spots but i guess that's with them all.
