Wish I could get a day off from work. Would like to come and ride and see everyone.
I haven't rode since Thanksgiving. Sad
Maybe I can at least come up in the Jeep for the evening and hang out.

We will have my cousin, her family, and some neighbors with us more than likely. They've just recently got back into riding after about a 10 year break. Don't think we will be staying for the cookout though, unless something changes.

Looks like I'm in. I talked to Jerry, commanderjjones, to get some final details about Saturday's ride location and I'll be there Saturday morning to ride.  Oh Yeah

Awesome. Can't wait to see everyone.....and try out the new Roctanes.

The forecast is calling for rain on Friday (good to keep the dust down) but looking decent for Saturday and Sunday. Of course, that's still almost a week away and could change 20 times between now and then.......but I'm hopeful. Smile

I talked to Flipper, one of the original Soggy Bottom Boyz, and he plans to come up and shoot the bull around the campfire Friday night but will be working on the farm Saturday and unable to ride with us. Flipper is known for his huge campfires and always kept the boyz and girlz warm and toasty with his fires. Flipper and BillyBob are perfect examples of what not to do when splashing friends in a creek... they ended up colliding into each other in a creek they were trying to splash each other and we had a MacGuyver kinda repair on the far north side of Windrock.... after an hour or so of prying and engineering, we were able to limp them both back to camp. Of course Billybob is less than 5foot tall and ended up down in the water upon impact. Just one of many stories that would probably end up being told around a campfire with these folks.

They are saying rain down here too for Friday... Im hoping this doesnt dampen my camping plans for Friday night. I dislike camping in the rain. It also knocks out the chance of me taking off early from work. Its against my religion to use any vacation time for raining days. LOL

Yeap, that's the forecast that I'm seeing. Of course, that's 5 days away and things could change drastically (for better OR worse) by then. I've learned to not cancel any plans until I see it with my own eyes.

Some rain Friday night will be bad for those of you camping, but good for dust control Saturday. Sounds like there's going to be a pretty good turnout for this.

Well yall remember a few weeks ago I said I was going to pray for rain on Friday and looks like my prayers are getting answered...but what I meant to do was pray for rain so the games would be cancelled Saturday so we wouldnt have to leave early.

I can camp in the rain but I sure dont like to... its a big ole mess to clean up afterwards and your camping junk is never the same again. I cranked the Rzr last week just to make sure it would crank. Guess i need to do that again.

You shouldn't have to worry about that unless you have left the key on for a long time.....but it never hurts to check.

Sounds like we probably need to pack the rain gear for Saturday... Right now they're giving 50% chance of rain  Sad. On the bright side, maybe it won't be dusty!

Yeap, and it's went up a little almost every day. I hope it's not a washout. The girls are already snotty, so riding bikes in the rain all day would NOT be a good thing.

Right now, I'm still planning to be down there Friday evening, but may have to re-evaluate that based on the weather. I have to drag all of the machines out of the camper in order to setup our sleeping quarters, so I may have to change the plan as time gets closer. If the weather is going to be bad, we may just end up driving down Saturday morning and driving back that night.

Is anybody else planning on camping Saturday night and riding Sunday morning? That was our original plan.......and "may" (I hope) still happen, depending on the weather.

We are only coming for the day Saturday. Not going to stay for the cookout since we have people coming with us.

I'll be there Saturday, rain or shine.
P.S. I'll have an open passenger seat if someone wanted to come but didn't have a ride/seat.

Jerry just filled me in, I'll be there unless it's pouring even though I have to work Friday night. I live 5 miles from the secondary entrance at the bottom of the mountain so I'll leave the trailer at home and drive the RZR.

You too Jerry, though I may regret just driving if it's very cold Saturday morning. Ha!

I only know of one or two places where you might have a hard time with that at PC, bring it on! Ha!

Well, it's looking like rain most of Friday and probably until noon on Saturday. So as much as I hate to, I'm bailing on camping and we'll just drive down Saturday morning. All 3 kids are already a little sickly right now, so I'm gonna try to minimize making it any worse. Just gonna bring the rain gear and a change of clothes so we can get warm and dry for the ride home Saturday night.

I hope the rain moves out quicker than they're saying right now. Sorry your camping plans got rained out Jerry, but I know camping in the rain is no fun.

Oh well, there will be other chances. In addition to the cold & wet factor with the kids, it's just too much work to clean all of the mud that will be all over the camping gear. Other than a 2 hour drive each way, we'll still have a good ride.......rain or shine. Cool
