you can save tracks to the card and then remove the card when you dont want them to display. now about the caches..... let me think about that. ill brainstorm and see what can be done. I know when using a basic membership you can select the device. since i always have extra storage such as jump drives and sd cards in my computer i have found that they show up. If you have a micro - to sd converter you can place the mirco sd card in the sd reader on your computer and send the cache location to the sd card. now i dont know for sure 100% this will work. I know that i have in the past sent files to the sd card that wont be acknowledge by the gps even thought they were maps. it will depend if from goecaching.com the file is automatically going to be recognized by the gps or if the gps stores it differently.

i connect my gps to the computer, i hit send to gps, it worked last time, just not this this last time. i can't figure the settings i had it set on the first time i did it. as for storing them my sd card is under the battery pack. i was just wondering if it was possible to save them and not have them show up on the screen. Its one way to learn, just keep playing with it!!

You can go to "Tracks" in the menu. You should have a list of saved tracks. Move down and highlight the track and hit the "enter" button for your GPS. Down towards the bottom of the screen you should see a box with a checkmark in it and beside it says "Show On Map". Uncheck this box and it will take it off the map. Do this for all of your saved tracks and just select one track and that will be the only one that shows up on your main map screen. I have several different ride routes on mine and just select the one I want to use to declutter the map. Not sure if this is what you are asking about though.
